services for whom I work.

Pleased by the somewhat quirky conference venue, good
to meet lots of old friends & catch up with them; to hand
out large numbers of beavers, and to hear various interesting
updates on what is going on in Nextcloud the software.

Gave a very compressed Lighting Talk for five minutes on
what we've improved over the last year:
-
Enjoyed talking with lots of smart people until late
at night with a party, dancing & more - nice. Back to
the hotel, and out for a Kebap with Jan, Andy & Tim.

Up early, plugged backwards through E-mail, still
a huge backlog from holiday amazingly. Tea Time Training, lunch.
-
Packed & set off again to the Nextcloud community
conference in Berlin - typical STN drive/fly/train bits.
-
Tech planning call, catch up with Rash, call with Damien,
catch up with Lily, weekly sales call, sync with Laser, annual
pay review preparation.
-
Chewed mail, ad-hoc meetings much of the morning.
All hands call, COOL TC meeting, catch up with Philippe,
sync with Dave, wrote some cards for staff.

Band practice in the evening.
-
Up early, sync with Kendy & Skyler.
-
Long planning call to catch-up. Lunch.
-
Sync with Meven then Andras, monthly mgmt meeting,
catch up with Laser, chat with Fred.
-
Back to work in earnest, up early, mail chew.
1:1 with Miklos, sync with Quikee, Armin & Thorsten.
Lunch.

Marketing content review, sync with Eloy,
Pedro & Naomi.

All Saints PCC meeting to minute in the evening.
-
Up early, worship with Laura & Lydia. Home for
Pizza lunch.
-
Lead some worship for the end of the 24x7 prayer
weekend - a good time.

Up too early, train into Venice with Thorsten, taxi to
the airport, in good time for our flights - had some breakfast
together.

Flights; home - so lovely to be back!

Out to Robert our vicar's surprise birthday party,
then on for some 24x7 prayer with J. at the church.

Up earlyish, walked to the venue to catch the end of
Thorsten's interesting talk on the huge number of features and
fixes that have been taken by TDF from Collabora Office into
LibreOffice.
-
Enjoyed various other talks, caught up with old
friends left and right. Another community dinner in the evening,
distributed stickers & beavers, and so on. Sat with the
few people hacking at the end.
-
Breakfast, kindly taken to the venue by Arnaud in
his car. Good to catch up with a number of people and get
the latest state of affairs.
-
Learned about Nadia Asparouhova (ne Eghbal)'s great
paper about Roads and Bridges as they related to FLOSS.
-
Gave a talk about the FLOSS Office space past and
present no doubt omitting lots of great projects I didn't
notice yet (or remember). Trying to stress that commercial
reality sadly beats technical excellence in lots of contexts,
no doubt the recording will be published at some stage too:
-
Sync call with Jos, Andras, Caolan and others.

Out to a very pleasant restaurant with the rest of
the attendees for fine food and interesting company - fun.
-
Up late trying to prepare for the Sunday evening
service - music etc.
-
Fitful sleeping action on the plane, found our
luggage, had a good experience with the parking-elsewhere
service. Drove home via some breakfast at a Greggs.
-
Lunch, packed, turned around to travel to Italy
for LibOCon. Plugged away at slides left and right, code
analysis, and more. Arrived rather late, caught up with
some folk, worked until much too late at night on slides.

Up early, call with Naomi, then Damien. Showered, packed,
lunch with Thomas, bid a very fond farewell to the excellent American
Meeks' hospitality.

Drove into Boston, visited the Library, admired
the Singer Sergant murals, and other bits. Checked out some
rattan Elephants, ice-cream at "JP Licks", babes did some sketching
in the park.

Off the the airport, struggled to return the car at the
check-in desk. Then discovered UK Air traffic mahyem had stopped
our plane outbound, we'd been bumped by a day - hmm, how do I get to
LibOCon. Said I wanted a refund, and would book a new flight to make
the connection - and BA re-booked us all onto an equivalent AA flight -
wow! nice work BA.

Up early, packed and headed to Well beach for some swimming
in a beautiful clear sea under the sun. Checked-out by a seal at
rather short range, lovely.

Home via Check-fil-A. Unpacked somewhat, talked, said
goodbyes - late night interview, talked to T. until late
together.

Off to the Salvation Army Church in Old Orchard Beach -
an extraordinary open-to-the-air meeting area, though we met inside.
Solid service, great music. Heard about their work at this anniversary
of serving in New York after September 11th 2001.

Walked on to the beach, met up with T&B, lunch together,
relaxed. Babes watched High School Musical, while I finished the Silo
season: a whole year before Season 4 !?

Up, out for a run with J. and B. Sea full of floating
weed though.
-
Home to see the babes, and down to the beach for some
rather UK style weather - rain - lots of it; fun.
-
Enjoyed some chips & ice-cream in a shelter, and wandered
home in a break in the weather.

Babes went thrifting again, sat with Thomas.
-
Got up early, skipped a run, watched forging videos
with the babes . Eventually ended up
at the beach with the babes.
-
Sat on the beach in the sun and re-read "Its Your Ship" -
looking for some helpful nuggets to apply. Walked and swam with
J. - lovely.

Back home for a shower, and watched The Goes Wrong Show
with the babes before dinner. Chatted to Tom before bed.
