Also if you have the time to read this sort of stuff you could enlighten
yourself by going to Unraveling Wittgenstein's net or if
you are feeling objectionable perhaps here.
Failing that, there are all manner of interesting things to read on

Partner project mgmt bits, sync with Kendy, monthly
management call, more project mgmt bits. Mail chew.
	Put up curtains for J.

	-
Not entirely surprised by the amount of back-lash to:
	libreoffice
and blockchain. Was much more surprised to get a number of
'WTF!' pokes directly to me on the topic; your ire is mis-directed.
For the avoidance of doubt I'm no longer on the TDF board,
	not on
	the LibreOffice
Engineering Steering Committee (who AFAICS were not consulted),
and was not personally part of any such discussions with Etherium
	(whatever its merits).
I'm also skeptical of asking the internet for technical direction / ideas
particualarly when there are lots of really obvious things to improve
in LibreOffice - that we should be getting on with. These are well
known. TDF's job, in my view, should be to get more involved with
spending its donor's money - working constructively with the volunteers
and companies: Collabora, RedHat, allotropia, NISZ, and others doing
the heavy lifting in LibreOffice to improve it. Still, probably good
	to be in the news.

	-
Planning call, start the E-mail catch-up, marketing call,
	family time.

	-
Busked All Saints in the morning, pizza lunch,
slugged variously with the family - nice.

	-
Finally some sleep; checked-out, bus to the conference.
Somehow lost treasured, wife-knitted snood somewhere along the
line. Long chat with Marina - with time flying until had to
rush for a bus. A long journey home - good to be back &
	spend time with the babes.

	-
Up early, off to meet Simon at the Laurin - only
	to find out we'd mis-timed conference start by an hour;
hot footed it to the NOI tech-park in a hurry - just
	in time.

	-
Gave a keynote on the opportunity that recent interest
in Digital Sovereignty brings for FLOSS, along with the fun of
aligning some of the various FLOSS business models there are:

	-
Business match-making event in the afternoon. Wandered
the show, talking with people here & there. Walked back into
town - and enjoyed wine & jazz with Simon & some old
friends until late in the evening.

	-
Up rather early, quick breakfast with Simon
and on to Bolzano via a delayed
train - attempted to catalog FLOSS business models I'd
seen - how to create scarcity ethically ? Bumped into
Matthias and the large FSFE team on the train - fun.

	-
Arrived in beautiful Bolzano, admired lots of
mountains on the way, found an AirBnB & on to the
	speaker's dinner.

	-
Caught up with various people, nice meal,
very interesting conversation with Brian + Jennifer
& Matthias - back late, more slide polish until
	too late.

	-
Breakfast, off to the conference, more discussion,
caught up with some non-profit friends .
Gave my talk on Documents and your Digital Sovereignty:

	-
More catch-up, pleasant train journey with Simon,
and a passing crypto lady to Zurich, started in-earnest
on the next slide-deck for an SFSCon keynote. Stay-over
	in Zurich late.

	-
Breakfast, off to the conference - lovely to
catch up with Arawa & Nextcloud friends at their
joint booth, wandered the show floor meeting with
partners, and old friends variously - a busy day.

	-
Drinks event and out for dinner with Philippe
& teams. Worked on slides until very late, little
	sleep.

	-
Mail chew, planning call, really sad to see
another extremely talented developer - who has been
with us from well before the beginning of TDF and
who has served, wisely on several boards follow
Caolan out of the door and resign. Thanks to Kendy for the
huge amount of work he's done to make TDF better,
and for the kind, friendly way he has done it.

	-
Travel to Paris to the Open Source
Experience, met up with Naomi for the Eurostar -
slides on the train, arrived at the hotel
eventually - met up with Eloy. Bed late.

band, shared lunch afterwards - good to see lots of
people celebrating Susan & Philips Allison's service
with us before they move on.

	-
Home, brief hibernation, back out to Cedric's
blood-cancer charity fund raising concert at All Saints,
	H. played the organ, cheese & wine - home. Watched
Enora Holmes 2 happily together, bed.

	-
Up lateish, off to Sue & Clive's for fireworks,
supposed to write slides in the car . Met up with Sue's family, and Georgina,Adrian
& Isabelle, interested by Adam's cricket practice.
Great fire & fire-works display, home rather late.

	-
Mail chew, updated our Product Management ranking,
lots of things got done - good. Sync with Andras, some idle
async & jsdialog work for calc, poked at slides.

	-
Christina over to see H. watched Amelie; picked up
	N. from a party very early in the morning.

	-
Mail, catch up with Miklos, partner call, lunch with H.
Filed expenses, poked Eurostar for a refund (three hour delay and
	a mostly broken-website).

	-
Positive call with Herman & Hannah.

	-
Mail chew, poked at people variously, sync with Andras,

Mail chew, smaller planning call than normal. Worked
with Kendy on report beautification & some polish - finished.

	-
Encouraged water to more sensible places on the roof
with H. and spent quite a while with a boroscope trying to find
where the water escapes from the washing machine from.

	-
Up earlish, Christopher & Jenny to play at AllSaints
with H. too - went well; Rick preached.

	-
Worked much of the day until midnight on reports -
	deadlines: such fun.

	-
Admin, report writing & re-work all day.

coins, hair-bands, and loads of limescale in the bottom
clogging things. Removed those & re-assembled.

	-
All Saints, Sue spoke, noodle stew for lunch.
Slept much of the afternoon, then badly at night: huh.
Watched some of Another Life with J. interesting
in places - often SciFi series degenerate into
	over-complexity; lets see.

	-
Set too at J's door, drilled out sections to
mount new Winkhaus lock into with some success. David
over. Managed to machine suitable holes in a face-plate,
and (encouragingly) create keeps from a piece of angle -
much more convenient than trying to buy precisely the
right keeps. Dinner together, bed early.

	-
Partner call, catch up with Mike K,

as we finish up an Alpha course, bed - exhausted.

	-
Up early, off to the bUm for the COOL
Days technical day. Lots of interesting lightning talks
back to back, and attendees. Missed some due to writing my
	own talks during other people's:

	-

	-
Mail chew; chat with Tor, catch up with Mert; poked at
	some LibreOffice tickets and code.

	-
Watching these home videos of ammunition dumps exploding
through glass windows gives me the creeps: the Halifax Explosion
ended up with buckets full of eyes, after glass window fragments
damaged so many watching the show from indoors.

	-
Spent some time filling the skip with unwanted bits of
junk & foliage with J. Managed to fall off a fatigued aluminium
ladder while cutting the hedge: and survived with bruises - thank
	God. Ladder a write-off.

	-
Mail chew, planning call, patch review. Lunch with H.
	and M.

	-
If you know someone interested in promoting FLOSS and helping
Collabora to build a business that can sustain and grow its contribution
who has skills in marketing, and is capable of working with hacker-types ?
please do direct them to our new a
	marketing role.

	-
Catch up with Miklos, partner call, COOL community call bits,
call with Philippe & an old friend.

	-
Today Collabora's app-store experiment with LibreOffice Vanilla
was ended. In time we will write up and publish the data more widely,
make final donations to TDF and as/when sensible finish up some Mac work
in due course. Many thanks to all those who
	worked
hard over the years to get LibreOffice into many app-stores - you rock.
Of course - you can still get Collabora
Office for your Mac, and help to support FOSS development that way.

	-
Slide work with Eloy much of the morning.

	-
Really pleased to see so much work from the team, and
the wider community released as Collabora
Online 22.05 - a first cut of our next round of development
work around the next-generation Collabora Online - quicker,
	slicker, better, prettier and more.

 	-
Partner Council - really good to catch up with and
get feedback from our partners -
companies making awesome things happen in the world of FLOSS.

 	-
Community & partner call later. Sync with Miklos.

the Dentist was fun - a new chap.

	-
All Saints, played with the band. Home for a pizza lunch.
Read to the babes a bit, Chris, Leanna & Annabelle over to
see us for a bit and borrow some tools. Enjoyed the sun together.

	-
Up lateish; pottered around - strimmed some things with
birthday present. David over for lunch, relaxed for a bit,
sawed bits off door corners so they opened more fully &
	safely & painted them up.

	-
Mail chew, tried to catch up ineffectively with the backlog.
Went to see M. at her Prom - looking lovely, and smiley in a pretty
yellow dress from Amelia. Natchos for diner, hunted for H. at a
choice of railway stations. Collected M. from a sleep-over via
	McDonalds, bed too late.

	-
Up early, breakfast, took babes to school; worked
around the breakfast table happily. Took Eloy, Miklos &

	office. Up late.

up Miklos & Andras together from Stansted. Kendy
	arrived late.

Up early, into town, breakfast in the castle court, enjoyed

before heading to Kings Church Durham
having a baptism service in the student union for one of H's friends.
	Lovely service.

 	-
Lugged more baggage to the car, lunch at Hatfield, met
with Elize. Bid a fond 'bye to H. drove to my parents. Lovely tea,

 	-
Met up with the babes & Eloy.

	-
Into Durham, via Tesco for breakfast: amazed to see a
Deliveroo chap (presumably) delivering Tesco cafe breakfasts.
Got some picnic food. Off to see H.

 	-
Had a very lovely time catching up with Mark Miller
at the Whitechurch pub; a ~twenty year gap gives a lot to catch
	up on.

 	-
On to Wharton Park to meet up with Chris & Joy, S&E.
enjoyed some fine views, good company, a birthday picnic. Wandered
back to H's room, did some work with her before heading to Newcastle

	of the wider family.

	-
Caught up with R&A&boys in the morning, got R'
setup to work. Quick packing and set off to Ilkley with J. for
a birthday/20th' anniversary trip: fun. Caught up with Auntie
Nicky, on to Durham. Met up with H. lovely to see her - out
	for some Thai food.

 	-
To the hotel, enjoyed the nearby pool / spa.

	-

	Catch-up with Frank & Gokay.

 	-

the number of FIXMEs that are left and scaling the delta cache with
the user count in a document.

	-
		E's birthday - presents at breakfast. Mail chew;
1:1 with Kendy, planned in-person mgmt meeting, updated

		Lovely to see the family again; tea with David in the garden;
watched the end of a movie, bed early.

	-
Up earlyish, English Breakfast at the quay, caught a small
ferry across the river stour, and walked for some hours around a
rather fine piece of English countryside. Lunch watching a view
over the river, lots of interesting conversation - back to base.
	Out for a Turkish dinner.

	-
Packed for the mens walking weekend.

 	-
		As TDF changes its approach
to app-store packaging I thought it would be worth
taking some time to look back and try to thank everyone that has
	done such excellent
work over the years. I hope I didn't miss anyone - though of
course I have several Linux packaging heros that are (arguably)
not per-se app-store packagers I had to miss out: Rene, Petr,
	Fridrich and no doubt more.

 	-
David picked me up, collected Simon N too, off to Harwich to
stay in an old fire-station with Men of Faith from All Saints.

	-
Catch up with Miklos, COOL community call. Lunch,
ESC call. Took M. to the doctor's.

	-
Chased a nasty delta crasher - obviously each tile
could only be compressed / delta'd once - it would be
madness to have the same tile listed twice. Except - we do
sometimes: added lots of assertions; fixed that. Lovely
Ubisan stack trace dumping fixage from Andras pointed at
exactly the problem immediately - lovely. Faster, and
	better too.

	-
Dropped babes to school, mail chew, sales call with Eloy,
debugged a few more issues with 22.05 while editing.

	-
Helped M. with some physics, abortive band-practice: not
here at the weekend, worked late. Poked at Ubisan to find out how
to encourage it to print traces more reliably on detected badness.

	-
Planning call; mail chew - got my blog re-located
	finally to
https://meeksfamily.uk/~michael after
something of a hiatus caused by the demise of
people.gnome.org - that lets me continue to be
a dinosaur and generate RSS manually and so on.

	-
Why is it always at the very end of the day, when I
need to quit and emerge from my lair - that I'm most productive:
in the 'stolen time' from my family? Perhaps this is the secret
sauce behind the four day week ?

	-
Thought this was a bank holiday, but apparently wrong.
Posted things, returned a substantial wrecking bar of the wrong
	length. Collected medicine for M.

	-
Played at Barry Bushel's funeral & caught up with
	friends & family afterwards.

Watched Jack Ryan with the babes bed early.

The profound annoyance of wooden windows! prolly need to turn them
to plastic with wood-hardener over time or something.

	-
Watched Passengers with the babes, implemented some
bandwidth measurement for the deltas work in the evening - encouraging
	improvements for cool 22.05.

	-
Sales & Marketing call with Eloy. Some user feedback
	& Product Mgmt ranking pieces.

	-
Catch up with Kendy, N. out to a party. Distracted by some
performance hacking fun - made delta-generation very much faster,
spent a while reading hotspot profiles.

	-
Planning call much of the morning; catch up with Sophie,
CRM call with William, Andras, Eloy. Partner call, out for a run

Helped J. in the garden removing hedge stumps, with our
	neighbour Russell's help.

	-
Mail chew; poked at profiles. Catch up with Noel,
positive catch-up with Frank, interesting times.

	-
Sync with Miklos, COOL community call, Lunch. Plugged
away at some profiling action - pushed some low hanging fruit -
always nice to find and fix.

	-
Helped J. dig a giant root from the hedge out.

	-
Took babes to school; sales call with Eloy, picked
up Miriam from school; lunch with N. too.

	what testing shows.

	-
Sync with Kendy; ISO 9k1/27k1 call with Hannah & Herman.
	Lunch.

	-
Admin; long catch-up call with Eloy.

Deltas a bit - got another chunk of code merged with them disabled.

	-
Took M. to a GCSE, mail chew, planning calls, M.
dropped home. Lunch with N. too.

	covered it with comic drawings.

	-
All Saints, played, back for pork stew lunch.
Lazed in the sun in the garden, under a shade-sail
in J's lap - lovely. Watched Walter Mitty in the evening.

	-
		Had a fine time at David's helping with the guttering;
hopefully sealed everything up and replaced this & that
nicely. Lunch, had a go at holly-tree trimming up a ladder
	together.

	-
Home, put up a white-board, had a chat with H.

Mail chew; some catch-up, 1:1 with Miklos, COOL community

perhaps drawing big pictures is the real solution.

	-
Bible Study group in the evening, good to see Thomas too.

	-
Breakfast with Marc, Sales call with Eloy, packed,
more sales downstairs; bit tired; Marc did a workshop, lunch.
Bid 'bye to the remaining people. Set off for train station.

that will compile and run by itself into master with some
success, down to just 40 patches.

	-
All Saints, played Beckie's guitar & worship -
with lots of good songs - although weak ensemble since we
	can't hear each other well.

	-

Kiki's delivery service with E. picked the babes
	up, and to bed.

Catch up with Andras, out for a run with J. Mail

		Tried to get wxPython setup on a Mac for a customer;

broken screen brightness or somesuch and marvel.

scrap cabling off-cuts - and jump started their car with some
	help from M&D.

	Summit, dinner.

	-
Back to E-mail and the backlog. Leo over in the evening
for home-group, lovely to catch-up with him.

	-
Wedding Anniversary - twenty blissful years. Lots
	of nice cards - lovely.

	-
To work, a bit of E-mail, poked at slides, CP
	monthly all-hands.

	-
Out for a lovely walk with the parents in the
afternoon at Lynford Arboretum - some fine trees, and
a potter around together - must be getting old.

	-
Chinese take-out treat in the evening, thanks to
	M&D.

	-
Catch up with Mike & Kendy, Lunch,
quarterly mgmt call, more E-mail backlog beat-back.

	-
		Discovered parents' Prius battery discharged
due to leaving the light on: odd to de-couple the 12V
systems from the (charged) motive battery. Left it
	trickle-charging overnight.

	-
Up lateish; cooked breakfast with the family. Out to St
Albans together to meet up with S&C & boys - played in
the park together in the sun - still feeling throaty. Bid 'bye
	to R&A and boys.

	-
Home, did some work with H. before she went out for
	the evening.

	-
All off to church, celebrated variously - easter-egg hunt
in the graveyard afterwards with the babes - walked home in the sun.
	J. stayed for Leo's baptism, snacked and chatted in the garden
together - J. back - big lamb roast lunch.

	-
Played with the babes; talked until late at night with R.
	.

	-
Bit of wiring in the garage with Father; helped H.
with some project research. Lunch together, R&A and boys
arrived late - lovely to see them, up late.

	-
Up late, rested somewhat, out for a walk with M&D,
M&E along the dyke nearby, shade-sail up in the garden
& lunch outside - a lovely hot day.

	-
David over, got insulated plasterboard stabilized by
injecting foam behind it, set too getting the floor fitted
with David's help - and some success; managed to (somehow)
almost level the floor with packing pieces.

	-
Dinner, dunged out the U-bend in a parlous state in
	N&M's bathroom.

	-
Still feeling poor; out to Ridgeons to get supplies; set-too
cutting out & re-siliconing the top bathroom shower seal.
Interrupted by a friendly fencer - caught up with Sue & Russel.

	-
Parents arrived in the evening, watched some Colin
	Furze with Father and rested.

	-
Still feeling poor. Helped J. with the shopping -
it's amazing what she does to feed us all. Triaged E-mail
to try to keep it down.

	-
Up late, caught up my blog since Jan 27th in a block.
Still in something of a haze.

	-
Feeling awful; planning calls. B&A over - stayed
away from them while trying to catch up - slept through the
	afternoon exhaustedly.

	-
Late night work with Eloy (on vacation).

	-
		All-Saints, precautionary mask wearing despite
	another clear COVID test.

	-
Put up Trampoline again after the winds, and
clipped it to the house. Managed to give a bike to
Cedric - slowly empting the garage of unused stuff.

	-
David over, managed to get the tricky insulated
plasterboard pieces above and around the door together
having stuck some timber into the RSJ above it - 100mm
phosphate screws are the bees knees. Ran out of foam.

	-
Ham, eggs &. chips for tea - nice.

	-
Feeling pretty awful; took much of the day off; modulo
FOSS Asia presentation - great to be back there. Cut the grass:
walking slowly up & down is about my limit.

	-
		Feeling pretty awful - not COVID it seems though;
	worked on & off.

	-
		Joint COOL presentation with our partner Redpill Linpro;
weekly sales call, monthly Productivity developers show-and-tell.
Worked on slides for FOSS-Asia talk tomorrow.

	-
Discovered my blog is down - apparently I had missed
the notification: bother; kindly provided with a backup
of the last ~20 years of random up-loads/backups/slides & blog
	bits from there: 1.8Gb.
Fond memories of when such things were stored at unam.mx in the very early days
	of GNOME.

	-
Been wondering what to do about my blog anyway - some
people complain(ed) about the personal content - it's not
technical-enough and presumably ragged around the edges. They want
a tag so they can ignore the personal pieces - and can instead get
pure engineering updates - as if from some corporate entity. I'm
not impressed by such requests for several reasons:

		- Hacker communities are made of people - not corporate
clones: people are wonderfully different & have real lives,
and interests. Its important to remember that communities
are not this homogeneous professional blob - they are made
of diverse experiences, viewpoints and interests.

		- Reminding people that their software is created and
maintained by a fun but motley crew of random co-beligerents
can stop them getting the idea that they get a polished,
professional product for free - which is quite helpful
for the ecosystem who sell that.

		- My blog is run from some legacy pybloxsm software from
emacs and I have little-to-no time to adapt it to make it
easier for people to read only the worker-bee part of it.
They are more than welcome to read none of it.

		- My technical content is increasingly less substantial
these days I fear - primarily I do a lot of sales and
management which - while interesting & encouraging
doesn't lend itself to early publication.

		-

Have spent some holiday to catch up, and will try to get some
	new hosting.

	-
Planning calls, early Sales & Marketing call -
trying to make some calendar space for a holiday.

	-
All Saints; Mike Geach over for a pizza lunch,
lovely to catch up with him again; rested variously.

	-
		J. took E. to The Ark at Isleham for a YFC all-day
event: climbing, laser-quest and all sorts of useful teaching.

	-
Managed to get roller-door removed, and new window
frames fitted - glazing sealed in properly this time, and
surrounds added. Hung doors, foam & frame sealant all
around, and - bingo - something approaching a room starts
	to appear.

	-
More delta work, good to have Henry helping out too,
merged some of his changes to my branch.

	-
Slept poorly; un-screwed leaking drain with H's help.
Wow; full of solids nearly to the brim, after some investigation
discovered the hole filled with a metre cubed bulk sand bag and
some rocks: which had been acting as a solid filter presumably
since construction by Pete Mathews Home Improvements Ltd. not
great. Set too trowling the volume down with H's help.

	-
Interupted by a pleasant call with Simon & Nick
	at Linux Format and lunch.

	-
Worked on delta cache pieces until J. returned.

	-
Finally solved the plumbing issue by the evening; grim.
You don't realize how wonderful modern sanitation is until it
	doesn't work.

	-
		Shut the bathrooms draining into the dodgy manhole;
still have some free capacity luckiy. Waited for drain people
	to arrive.

	-
Sales call, some marketing bits; more delta debugging.

	-
No-one arrived to charge us some hundreds of pounds to
unblock the drains by the late evening - hey ho.

	-
Managed to reproduce an annoying Online crash; Aron
got a nice reproducer good to get that fixed. Discovered the
drains not draining - things from upstairs coming out
downstairs: not cool. Called emergency drain un-blockers -
picked the one that gave a quote in pounds for tomorrow.

	-
Pleased to find SSL issue fixed & released.

	-
Planning calls; came to do tax & annual accounting
to discover a failed bank-pin RSA dongle - why is the battery
	not user-serviceable ? odd.

	-
All Saints, J. ran Kids For Christ (KFC). Relaxed.

	-
Building in the garage with David; got more of the next
wall insulated, plaster-boarded and so on.

	-
Up very late working with Ash on a rather surprising SSL
	related regression.

	-
Some hacking time at last - lots of progress on improving
delta + keyframe compression and storage - nice. Catch-up call
	with Gerald.

	-
Relaxed and caught up with H. who helped with the garage
	building work somewhere here.

	-
		N. got a positive COVID test - and started self-isolating,
	M. to the dentist, H. home - really lovely to see her after so long.
	COOL community call, admin etc.

	-
		Sales calls, band practice.

	-
Took babes to school; planning calls; mail chew,
	marketing catch-up.

	-
		All Saints; fine lunch, slugging.

	-
David over; got much more stud-work with ply screwed
to the garage ceiling, floor, fibre-glass into sections and
	plasterboard onto the back wall.

	-
Mail & admin catch-up, sync with Gokay. Got some
cable pulls sorted out in the garage.

	-
1:1's, COOL community call, catch-up with Julian
Seward - its been too long - really missing in-persons like
	FOSDEM.

	-
Debugged delta pieces, monotonic timestamps and so on.

	-
Sales meeting; Productivity monthly all-hands meeting,
	band practice.

	-
		1:1's, slides, monthly mgmt meeting.

	-
Planning calls, catch-up with Olivier Paroz; All Saints
	PCC meeting in the evening.

	-
All Saints, Kelsey over for lunch - lovely to get
to know her a bit better.

	-
David over; dunged out the garage, built beautiful timber
frames overlayed with ply-wood and perfectly square. Fitted them
into place to discover the concrete floor and/or ceiling is far
from level; time for expanding-foam and packers.

	-
Catch-up call with Rash, worked on slides variously.

	-
COOL Community call, various 1:1s, bits of hacking,
	catch-up with Peter G.

	-
E-mail catch-up, sales call, band practice, finished
solding up the Geiger Counter - getting around ~1 scintilation
each second or two on average: not very sensitive I suspect -
hopefully sees more than passing muons.

	-
Breakfast & meetings in the morning, train, plane
home again - good to be back.

	-
Up earlyish, day of meetings - interesting people
lots of good things going on. Dinner in the evening together.

	-
All Saint in the morning, B&A, S&C & boys over
for a lovely lunch; got a train to Heathrow - first time back
on the road after endless lock-downs. Arrived in Hamburg, got
	to the Hotel, sleep.

	-
Set too soldering components, David over too - E. turns
out to be the only person who can fit through a tiny gap - at
least one of the family can.

	-
Worked with Ash on a Secure View talk; call with Florian,
catch-up with Gokay. Men of Faith pot-luck dinner at AllSaints
	in the evening.

	-
		Catch up with Miklos, COOL community call, call with Andras;
got some hacking done on deltas.

	-
DIY Geiger Counter PCB and components showed up: available
	on github

	-
Sales call, competitor chat, customer call, catch up
with Gokay - life seems to be mostly calls these days.
	Band practice.

	-
Team 1:1's variously, Nextcloud catch-up, sales call.

	-
All Saints, lunch, went to collect M. and N. together -
	lovely building, apparently somewhat cold.

	-
Just E. at home - up early and took her to Go-Ape in
Thetford to swing through the trees together: fair-do's - just
as with the others; but somehow a decade after my first trip
with M. I have more aches. Nice meal afterwards, enoyed spending
	time together.

	-
Sync call with Thorsten/Lothar, last gasp of board bits.
Interesting potential partner call. Took M. and N. to a StAG youth
camp in a rather impressive Catholic castle-like building.

	-
COOL community call, mail chew, bits of hacking.

	-
		Slideware, encouraging Partner Council call.

	-
Unusual but friendly call with a competitor.
Positive virtual meet-up with some NHS types.

	-
Painted RSJs in the garage again - got a cold.

	-
Caught up with Eloy, mail, slide-ware. Wrote a
unit test for root-cause fix - boost's default encoding
	for unknown languages is unhelpful.

	-
Mail chew; got a debug build of core to chase a nasty
to it root. 1:1's with people.

	-
Monthly all-hands. Customer crit-sit chasing again.

	-
New fridge arrived; unwound various cunning schemes
for keeping things cool - plumbed it in, wired it up.

	-
Sync with Kendy; B&A over for lunch, ate up
lots of older, partially thawed food.

	-
		Monthly mgmt call; worked late.

	-
		Planning calls as normal.

	-
		J. out at her course, N & M at GenR8 - played with E.

	-
Fridge compressor now starting at least, but cuts out
after a short while of cooling, and sounds unusual. Gave in and
ordered new fridge/freezer - hopefully for another 15 years.
Put up mirror for J, tidied up etc.

	-
Hammerited steels in the Garage - aleady rusting despite
	de-humidification: hmm, primed timber-window frame

	-
Call with H. debugged some unexpected oddness in her Arduineo
	coding together.

	-
Fridge failed ~15 years old - (Samsung) compressor still
working - soldered in a spare new relay in 5 minutes: should be
user service-able and socketed like motor brushes really.

	-
Last TDF board meeting: deeply ambivalent about the state
of TDF governance as I leave; thank goodness for the many capable
	new board members elected.

	-
		Worked on projections.

	-
		Meetings, COOL community call.

	-
Caught up with Lubos & Noel.

	-
		More data, continued on customer crit-sit until late;
discovered lots of brokenness in their own infra.

	-
Catch up with Eloy; helped Hannah with some curious
matlab programming language: who knew that the
input()
type function would do variable substitution by default:
most un-expected; lovely to chat with her.

	-
Customer crit-sit, up all night testing & trying to
	diagnose the root cause.

	-
Caught up with Dave Neary, now at Ampere - its
been too long without an in-person FOSDEM or the like.

	-
Work; always feel a bit bad buying a valentines day
card multi-pack. Took J out in the evening - such a delightful
	wife.

	-
Planning call much of the morning; tried to air the
formaldehyde smell from out-gassing book-shelves from the
room somehow without letting the cold in.

	-
All Saints, David came over, slugged variously.

	-
Visited Bruce & Anne, lovely to see them.

call. Sorted out purple. C'bra quarterly mgmt call much
of the afternoon and evening; caught up with frenzy of
	detailed task backlog in parallel.

	-
Planning call, TDF marketing call; worked on
	CS3 slides until late.

with Mary. Bob spoke, home for roast lunch. Slugged
vigorously; picked up babes from StAG in the evening.

	-
Up lateish, breakfast with the crowd; got the garage
tidied up again. Worked on J's counselling room facade -
routed up the door sill, managed to take ~all the teeth off
the circular saw removing the top 1cm of the frame: which
made it substantially harder to cut with. Eventually cut
	it down to size.

	-
		FOSDEM slides, recorded & up-loaded video -
looking forward to it; set to work on CS3 slides,
talk with Simon, catch up with Gokay.

	-
Helped N. tidy the house, picked up Charlie,
and got to work making the garage habitable for boys:
amazingly there is a concrete floor under the dust.

	-
Lots of N's friends turned up for 17th birthday
party & sleepover; good to see them, tried to teach
several lads to play 'go'. Left them to it, 2:30am the
singing stopped, 3:30 - boys out to the garage to sleep.

	-
1:1's, COOL community call; discussion of the
	color purple: fun.

to visit a friend of Mum's who kindly lent H. a lovely full-size
	Viola.

Home - back onto wiring with Father; a fine lunch. Drove H.
to Durham, and managed to get her bits back to her study with E's

		Out for a walk with J. H. M. E. - passed the somewhat
extraordinary Suffolk Hedgehog Hospital: (Hedge-hogs, why can't
they share?) - and had a nice walk around Ousden and admired
what looks like a bunker on Back Street.

	-
Spent some considerable time adding a lock to
our en-suite toilet door; can finally put router &
jigs away after their long service - good.
