Also if you have the time to read this sort of stuff you could enlighten
yourself by going to Unraveling Wittgenstein's net or if
you are feeling objectionable perhaps here.
Failing that, there are all manner of interesting things to read on
the LibreOffice Planet news
feed.

Mail chew, smaller planning call than normal. Worked
with Kendy on report beautification & some polish - finished.
-
Encouraged water to more sensible places on the roof
with H. and spent quite a while with a boroscope trying to find
where the water escapes from the washing machine from.
-
Up earlish, Christopher & Jenny to play at AllSaints
with H. too - went well; Rick preached.
-
Worked much of the day until midnight on reports -
deadlines: such fun.
-
Admin, report writing & re-work all day.
-
Mail chew, sync with Miklos, stand-up, research &
report writing.
-
Sales update call with Eloy, monthly all-hands call,
mail catchup.
-
Catch up with Kendy, monthly mgmt slides & call.
Booked travel to the interesting SFSCON
in Bolzano. Worked on report bits, looong call into the late
evening
-
Planning call, mail, lunch. Catch up with Mike & Naomi.
Rest of family off to see the Griffin inlaws. Another planning call,
late inter-vendor call, snatched dinner during that, on to minute
PCC meeting.
-
All Saints, played with 2m Peter, Bob spoke well.
Home for lunch with Len - pizza & relaxation - slugged
with babes variously in the afternoon.
-
Disassembled washing machine - discovered a set of
coins, hair-bands, and loads of limescale in the bottom
clogging things. Removed those & re-assembled.
-
Set too fixing J's door keeps; Dremel surprisingly
effective as a mini angle-grinder, machined the Al angle to
fit beautifully. David trimmed the hedge nicely, encouraged
water to flow constructively on porch roof.
-
Catch up with Mike, admin back-log, report poking.
-
Report writing, catch up with Miklos, COOL community
call, sync with Mili, Andras, caught part of the ESC call,
interview in the evening.
-
Sales call, admin backlog, report writing stand-up.
Gokay 1:1, chat with the Inkscape team, band practice in the
evening.
-
Up early, NGI Next
Generation Internet (DAPSI) conference much of the day - lots of
interesting projects funded. Met some good people. Trains home
late.
-
Planning call, catch up with Kendy, train to Paris
in the afternoon - three hour delay outside Gare du Nord -
got to bed very late.
-
All Saints, Sue spoke, noodle stew for lunch.
Slept much of the afternoon, then badly at night: huh.
Watched some of Another Life with J. interesting
in places - often SciFi series degenerate into
over-complexity; lets see.
-
Set too at J's door, drilled out sections to
mount new Winkhaus lock into with some success. David
over. Managed to machine suitable holes in a face-plate,
and (encouragingly) create keeps from a piece of angle -
much more convenient than trying to buy precisely the
right keeps. Dinner together, bed early.
-
Partner call, catch up with Mike K,
catch up with Andras, admin, in-person with
Simon N. Reviewed nice slides from Miklos.
-
TROP in the evening until late.
-
Catch up with Miklos, COOL community call,
sync with Andras, part of the ESC call, catch up
with Eloy on sales.
-
Into Cambridge to get some aluminium sheet
and angle to mend J's door with - and to pick up M.
-
Catch up with Frank, Gokay, more admin,
calls, zstd bits. All Saints band practice in
the evening.
-
Product / partner call for much of the
morning in German, K8s call overlapping that.
-
Mail chew, planning call, plugged away at
admin & zstd building on Android.
-
All Saints in the morning; lunch with Isaac &
Julie, bid 'bye to them as they start out for New Zealand
shortly. Slept, picked up babes into Cambridge.
-
Up early, Rebekka's hen-party, mended a few things, and
stayed out of the way; chewed through some work backlog.
-
Out to visit David, poked at replacing the rexene
cover on his chair, and fixing a leaking tap. Back late.
-
Mail chew, various calls, started planning the next events.
Rather impressed with the video
round-up of COOL-days.
-
Tried to start working through the E-mail backlog.
-
Julie & Rebekka over to start preparing for her
hen-party here tomorrow, natcho dinner, watched LOTR prequal,
bed.
-
Up late; tired - trains / tubes to BER, same plane home as
Simon - drove him back home, and back to see J. and the babes! so
lovely to be home again in one bit. Dinner with home-group at ours
as we finish up an Alpha course, bed - exhausted.
-
Up early, off to the bUm for the COOL
Days technical day. Lots of interesting lightning talks
back to back, and attendees. Missed some due to writing my
own talks during other people's:
-
Bid 'bye to friends - catch-up with Gerald, out for dinner
in the evening on the back of Thorsten's scooter: amusingly, apparently
I'm too young to rent one - talked together until late.
-
Up early, worked on slides some more. Off to the Nextcloud
Enterprise Day; lovely venue. Pleased to give a supportive COOL /
partner presentation - and then disappeared to our (unfortunately
parallel) partner event nearby.
-
Good to see Eloy & Naomi doing a great job getting that
setup and running, missed Peter though. Some presentations, and got
lots of interesting feedback from partners & customers - including
how to improve next time. Out for dinner with the remainder, and back
to the Radisson with it's in-door acquarium over the bar until late
to catch up with the Nextcloud staff & customers.
-
German national bank holiday. Visited the Berlin Computer
Game museum with several of our partners & much of our team.
-
Tram to Indoor Skydiving
with everyone - had a fine lunch, watched each other learn to fly -
talked with lots of people. Pleased to have Gerald, Nicholas & Dan
join us later. Some amusing video.
-
Up unfeasibly late writing slides.
-
Attended the Nextcloud conference at the bUm - really good to
catch up with another set of old friends & have some talks. Great
to have Pedro to do the COOL talk.
-
Plugged away at slides variously for COOL days. Enjoyed
the closing set of talks at the venue. Lunch; bid 'bye to everyone
and set off for Berlin with my team-mates. Delayed flight, nice
pizza lunch/dinner. Helped to connect H. to people while getting
on the plane
-
Arrived in Berlin met up with Eloy; out for dinner.
