Breakfast with some of the team. Taxi to the venue
laden with beavers. Distributed these to various hard-working
people.

Gave a talk scraping the surface of why writing your
own office suite from scratch is really foolish, although
an increasingly popular folly these days video:

More wandering, grabbed some lunch, gave a talk with Stephan on
on&off collaborative editing:

Out to the XWIKI drinks party & dinner in the evening.

OpenForum Europe's EU Open Source Policy Summit.
Good to hear Dirk Schrödter promote FLOSS with quotes from Hayek & Schumpeter - useful to add that perspective.

On to the FLOSS Foundations dinner in the evening.
Back early to write slides until the early morning.

Up early, trains to Brussels. Worked on slides
on the way, arrived, dressed-up, enjoyed the Open
Source Awards.

Sync with Dave, technical call, sync with Stephan.
ISO 14k1 - Environmental certification training.

Published the next strip on the trials of managing
an organization's staff

Slides, loong sales team call, sync with Philippe;
printed lots of FOSDEM travel bits: exciting.

Planning call. Upgraded laptop, test rebooting for
FOSDEM travel. Sync with Anna & Andras.

Compliance training to maintain ISO 9001 certification.

Worked on slides much of the day.

Long marketing content call, lots going on.

All Saints, played violin with H. on organ.

Back for curry lunch, rested much of the
afternoon refreshingly, watched Operation Finale with J.

Mail chew, personal admin, holiday booking, finances.

Out for a lovely walk with J. - there is something
great about pausing in a bog and listening to the wind in
the reeds together.

Got some overdue wiring done, and more book-shelves
sorted out. Cheska over to visit H. after a Psalm-roar in London.

Catch-up with Dave, drove into Cambridge (forgetting
a bag of swag), podcast recording, lunch with the Collabora
finance team.

Drove home, sync with Laser, Andras, Lily, Thorsten.

Tech-planning call, admin catch-up, quarterly
management meeting much of the day - chat with Chris in
the middle.

Sync with Dave, tech research call, presented an
internal TTT. Collabora quarterly management meetings until
late.

worked on slides.

Encouraging new partner meeting - good to meet new
interesting people. Back late.

Minuted PCC meeting in the evening.

Church in the morning - new battery, good for the violin.
Back for a pizza lunch. Watched Netflix with the family, and rested.

Men's prayer breakfast in the morning; home to
see A. & J. - chatted, lunch, caught up some more.

Poked at a CO browser issue and got more insight
into odd a11y issue and a better JS trace.

Sorted out some shelving in the Garage, tidied
up somewhat, spent time with the family. Watched Game
Night together.

Up early, poked at admin with some bits of idle hacking
all day.

Managed to hunt down and get a trace for a grim flatpak/
QtWebEngine crash and created a hack-around it for now.

Anne over in the evening with J. lovely to see her.

Up early, sad news - B. died in the night.

Sync with Lily, Stephan, Laser, home-group in
the evening.

J. off to Ipswich Hospital. Catch up with Dave.

Technical call, sync with Naomi & Dee, catch up with Laser,
snatched lunch, monthly all-hands call. Catch up with Patrick, weekly
sales call.

Got new book-cases setup: more books! (at least un-packed from
the garage perhaps).

J. off to Ipswich Hospital with A. much of the day.

Planning call, snatched lunch, sync on mailing lists.
Catch up with Anna & Andras, Monthly mgmt meeting.

Plugged away at some testing, and tickets in the
evening.

Up early, mail chew, status report, tickets,
blog update etc.

1:1's with Miklos, Thorsten, marketing team,
Naomi, Pedro, Eloy, and an old friend.
-
Up early, Rick's licensing service at All Saints
with the Archdeacon - crazy but inconclusive electric violin
battery replacement rush.
-
Tyler home for lunch with us, good to catch up with him.
H. & Ed & Laurence dropped in too. More house
restoration bits - lugging of things & so on.
-
Relaxed with a silly movie in the evening.
-
Up earlyish, arranged chairs and tables for ~26 people
somehow. Added nails to curtain-rails for strings of lights,
glued candles into recalcitrant holders, arranged tables and
chairs.
-
Caught up with M. between times, as well as debugging an
annoyingly tough to reproduce Collabora Office / flatpak crash,
got some reproducer plans eventually.
-
More house cleaning, furniture arranging, guests
started to arrive - lots of interesting young people doing
good things - many of them engineers. Helped to serve food,
and gave a short talk about a lovely 21 year old daughter.
-
Games in the evening while we shunted crockery, tables
and chairs back to church; slept.
-
Early sync with Dave, customer call, plugged away
at slides. Out to Hills Road to give a talk with Skyler to
the CompScis there, dropped new CI hardware and Skyler
into the office.

Sync with Stelios, N&M arrived home for her
21st birthday party. Lovely to see them, much party plannning.
-
Out for a run with J. Tech. planning call, mail chew.
Lunch, sync with Lily, then Laser, then Stephen. Admin.

Really pleased to see the Collabora Office Hackfest announced,
at the Bedford hotel.

extremely cold.

Slept in in the morning, relaxed and read. Helped to
make Pizza for lunch, prepped songs for the evening service.

Good evening service with Kingsely speaking, home,
relaxed.

J. out with Sue to see B&A in Ipswich. Poked
at mail . Lunch, bid 'bye to N. and M.

David over for dinner, good to catch up with him.
-
Up late, triaged mail briefly. Pottered around in the
Garage in the cold; got another 25 feet of shelf bracketing up.

Spent some time with the babes ,
kebabs in the evening.

Nina over to see H. nice to catch up; finished
The Swallow rather a disturbing sci-fi Christmas
present - ordered the sequal.

Set too stacking, collating and organizing the
many useful sorts of things.

Hannah & Nick over for dinner - lovely to
see them.
