Up early, chewed mail - found the nasty OO.o upgrading bug is in fact someone with a viciously hacked, partially updated system (by savaging /etc/redhat-release, and not doing a full update).
Released a new libart_lgpl for Alex, with the art_svp_minus operation, pushed libart_lgpl packages to ooo-snapshot, re-factored the gpc replacement patch; pushed a hacked incremental RH9 pkg, and set off two new full re-builds. Uploaded RC2 source packages here.
Uploaded a bonobo-activation-2.2.3.tar.gz with the bogus network reverse-lookup removed. Filed the system-libart patch in issuezilla - finally we can kill the evil gpc mess.
Locked in mortal combat with a non-building embedded Python:

and of course sudden death. What that really means is: make sure 'HOME' is set (even to an empty string) before running this; sigh. Managed to get the build back on an even keel.
Worked away on George's nasty panel / ORB bug got most of the way there, set about trying to make the umpteen regression tests pass again.
Knocked off; Myriam arrived eventually, had chicken caeser salad in the garden; then off into town to meet Ryan for his birthday - great to see him back again.
