Stuff Michael Meeks is doing

This is my (in)activity log. You might like to visit
Collabora
Productivity a subsidiary of Collabora focusing on LibreOffice support and
services for whom I work.
Also if you have the time to read this sort of stuff you could enlighten
yourself by going to Unraveling Wittgenstein's net or if
you are feeling objectionable perhaps here.
Failing that, there are all manner of interesting things to read on
the LibreOffice Planet news
feed.

- Up early; lots of mail; sigh ooo-build release screwed up
again by a broken patch, such that only incremental builds work. Annoying
indeed, can't bring myself to announce ooo-build-1.1.49.2.
- Chewed over various design issues with a number of people,
and checked on the status of misc. jobs on the go, things going smoothly
generally it seems, modulo Vivek being stuck with the build system. Spent
a long time helping him. Manu suffering some vicious problem with his
Debian system and fontconfig, another time sink.
- Kiran hacking on D/BUS/HAL bits, samit chewing at evo.
integration work. Consulted Dad about the water emerging from the
corroded copper pipes cleverly concreted into the floor of our
bathroom - apparently I need to chop into the concrete; what fun,
at length discovered quite how the tangled mess works - maximising
the length of unprotected copper-in-concrete is the name of the game
it seems; turned the water off; started to get thirsty.
- Remembered I hadn't signed up for FOSDEM, a shame - an OO.o talk is
just what they need. Raul re-indexecd all of OO.o which is nice,
added mws_src645 (the stable branch of course!) and atomically
switched over.
My content in this blog and associated images / data under
images/
and data/
directories are (usually)
created by me and (unless obviously labelled otherwise) are licensed under
the public domain, and/or if that doesn't float your boat a CC0
license. I encourage linking back (of course) to help people decide for
themselves, in context, in the battle for ideas, and I love fixes /
improvements / corrections by private mail.
In case it's not painfully obvious: the reflections reflected here are my
own; mine, all mine ! and don't reflect the views of Collabora, SUSE,
Novell, The Document Foundation, Spaghetti Hurlers (International),
or anyone else.
It's also important to realise that I'm not in on the Swedish Conspiracy.
Occasionally people ask for formal photos for conferences
or fun.
