Up early; pulled mail; packed final bits, drove into Cambridge, sad parting, train to London Kings X. J. off to give H. her first experience of swimming. Slightly pleased by the D/BUS discussion / suggestion that it might not be suitable for a component system - still no reply on my structure marshalling query. Finished my mail.

Of the objections to the colon and the semicolon listed above, there is only one that I am prepared to concede: that semicolons are dangerously habit-forming. Many writers hooked on semicolons become an embarrassment to their families and friends. Their agents gently remind them, "George Orwell managed without, you know. More talk hackage on the plane; battery doing well, with occasional TV breaks. Finally arrived, taxi to the hotel; synced stuff.
Out for dinner with the lads and Christine; finally associated maw's face with his name - good; met Cameron too, knocked off early for more slide hacking. Managed to print the slides out (in handout view) by exporting to PPT / switching to the windows machine etc. a rather daft setup. Bed late.
