Stuff Michael Meeks is doing

This is my (in)activity log. You might like to visit
Collabora
Productivity a subsidiary of Collabora focusing on LibreOffice support and
services for whom I work.
Also if you have the time to read this sort of stuff you could enlighten
yourself by going to Unraveling Wittgenstein's net or if
you are feeling objectionable perhaps here.
Failing that, there are all manner of interesting things to read on
the LibreOffice Planet news
feed.

- Up early, another freezing day; breakfast, to
the office. Talked to Kevin, then Charlie U, nail clippers
kindly donated by Christine [ the claw against terror ].
- Fixed the bonobo-activation hard-coded-prefix-first-in-path
issue after it being pointed out by Chris, Dave; good. Discovered
(via Dave) the reason my cups printing stuff is broken by default
is that I have to type
lppasswd -g sys -a root
before
anything will work: rock. Set a new snapshot set of OO.o building
for RH&SuSE 9.
- Lots of fun with the guys; good to be in the office.
Started updating my SuSE 9 machine to xd-unstable; a bold move
perhaps (Dave reports failure). Had a great talk with Nat: nice
to catch up and sort out various things.
- Extremelly impressed with the brainstorminc
cheat-sheets on OO.o - very professional / beautiful indeed,
a testament to Jimmac/TigerT.
- Tried to get evo-1.5 working, crashed importing my
LDAP sources, started building a debugging version. Out for
dinner at CBC with Dave and Jon, good food / beer. On to the
adjacant pool place; JPR arrived to paste us, good fun.
My content in this blog and associated images / data under
images/
and data/
directories are (usually)
created by me and (unless obviously labelled otherwise) are licensed under
the public domain, and/or if that doesn't float your boat a CC0
license. I encourage linking back (of course) to help people decide for
themselves, in context, in the battle for ideas, and I love fixes /
improvements / corrections by private mail.
In case it's not painfully obvious: the reflections reflected here are my
own; mine, all mine ! and don't reflect the views of Collabora, SUSE,
Novell, The Document Foundation, Spaghetti Hurlers (International),
or anyone else.
It's also important to realise that I'm not in on the Swedish Conspiracy.
Occasionally people ask for formal photos for conferences
or fun.
