Stuff Michael Meeks is doing

This is my (in)activity log. You might like to visit
Collabora
Productivity a subsidiary of Collabora focusing on LibreOffice support and
services for whom I work.
Also if you have the time to read this sort of stuff you could enlighten
yourself by going to Unraveling Wittgenstein's net or if
you are feeling objectionable perhaps here.
Failing that, there are all manner of interesting things to read on
the LibreOffice Planet news
feed.

- Dawn; breakfast, pleased to see xd-unstable
available on SuSE 9 publicly; pwrt. VPN borkage, upgraded
big chunks of my system. NotZed's junk speedup/ergonomic
fix is really lovely, nice.
- Set up a SuSE bugzilla account, and filed a few
of the minor annoyances I've seen. Quickly hacked some
chkconfig --level XYZ RH compatibility, and dispatched a
patch.
- Reviewed Chris' tiny ORBit2 patch, nice. Lunch,
out to Travis Perkins - bought a huge sheet of 12mm
marine plywood and sawed it in half ( why go to the gymn. ?)
also some 3m lengths of 15mm copper pipe, nails, 3"x3"
to support joists, etc; all manner of fun things. Piled it
all on top of the car (somehow), and drove carefully home.
Much fun extracting a monster splinter.
- Back to the hacking. Submitted abstracts for
LinuxTag. Battled the OO.o code at some considerable length
looking for some functionality - finally found the OLE2
code in sot/source/sdstor/*; great.
- Poked at and fixed yesterday's e-d-s crasher;
some shutdown snafu. Worked on OO.o with the pliers to try
to get a decent debug build; hmm - applied pain.
- H. taking an unhealthy interest in chewing her
socks; dextrously reaches, removes them and proceeds to
sniff/chew them - nice.
- Dinner, bit more work; cut a number of 3x3
supports to size to strengthen the ceiling joists where we
cut them. J. home, bed.
My content in this blog and associated images / data under
images/
and data/
directories are (usually)
created by me and (unless obviously labelled otherwise) are licensed under
the public domain, and/or if that doesn't float your boat a CC0
license. I encourage linking back (of course) to help people decide for
themselves, in context, in the battle for ideas, and I love fixes /
improvements / corrections by private mail.
In case it's not painfully obvious: the reflections reflected here are my
own; mine, all mine ! and don't reflect the views of Collabora, SUSE,
Novell, The Document Foundation, Spaghetti Hurlers (International),
or anyone else.
It's also important to realise that I'm not in on the Swedish Conspiracy.
Occasionally people ask for formal photos for conferences
or fun.
