- Vanessa phoning at 9am, Bank Holiday today.
- Booked hotels, a hire car, Julia packed for me,
out for a walk on the heath; bathed H. drove to Cambridge,
sad farewell to Julia.
- Bruce (and Dogs) (and David) managed to sit
with me on the train - a smallish world indeed. Started
reading chunks of the X(.org) server.
- Train / tube eventually got me there; reading the
rather riveting, but doubtless somehat out of date The
Seven Wonders of the World - Michael Ashley. Immersed,
in the Pyramids, nearly missed a change.
- Arrived - Ibis rooms all the same, same furniture,
same fittings - same cheating curtain concealing not a
window but a blank concrete wall; still cheapest on offer.
Set the X server building. Slept to the sound of aircraft
taking off.
My content in this blog and associated images / data under
images/ and data/ directories are (usually)
created by me and (unless obviously labelled otherwise) are licensed under
the public domain, and/or if that doesn't float your boat a CC0
license. I encourage linking back (of course) to help people decide for
themselves, in context, in the battle for ideas, and I love fixes /
improvements / corrections by private mail.
In case it's not painfully obvious: the reflections reflected here are my
own; mine, all mine ! and don't reflect the views of Collabora, SUSE,
