Stuff Michael Meeks is doing

This is my (in)activity log. You might like to visit
Collabora
Productivity a subsidiary of Collabora focusing on LibreOffice support and
services for whom I work.
Also if you have the time to read this sort of stuff you could enlighten
yourself by going to Unraveling Wittgenstein's net or if
you are feeling objectionable perhaps here.
Failing that, there are all manner of interesting things to read on
the LibreOffice Planet news
feed.

Up earlyish, off to Taipei
International Church, friendly atmosphere - met a nice American (Greg)
and his charming Taiwanese wife - from the US not-embassy here. Good
service, fine, balanced, challenging, helpful expository preaching - let
down only sightly by an over-emphasis on greek word definitions; pleased,
I heartily recommend it.
-
Set off by Taxi to Taipei
101, met up with Armani there - had a vertical elevator joy-ride, admired
the panoramic view, a really clear day. Tried to discern movement in the large
suspended ball stabiliser with no joy, wandered coral displays, then enjoyed
ice-cream, and a brief crowding experience in some computer show.
-
Off by Metro - the plastic metro tokens, surprisingly conceal a
wireless RFID thingit of insane coolness - to Danshui. Armani showed off
the sleeping Buddah skyline - though his precise physionomy left something
to be desired. Admired a temple of some sort, used (apparently) primarily
for women to practise a divination of sorts. Drank the local iced tea.
-
Back to the Guanghua Market, it seems I missed most of the most
interesting bits of it yesterday - under the ground, and in a new block.
Found a T60 battery to replenish my increasingly poor capacity, and
slow-to-charge model, neat. Taxi home.
-
More prep for training tomorrow, phoned the lovely wife, up
excessively late trying to (and finally) installing debuginfo packages
from kirk all over the place.
My content in this blog and associated images / data under
images/
and data/
directories are (usually)
created by me and (unless obviously labelled otherwise) are licensed under
the public domain, and/or if that doesn't float your boat a CC0
license. I encourage linking back (of course) to help people decide for
themselves, in context, in the battle for ideas, and I love fixes /
improvements / corrections by private mail.
In case it's not painfully obvious: the reflections reflected here are my
own; mine, all mine ! and don't reflect the views of Collabora, SUSE,
Novell, The Document Foundation, Spaghetti Hurlers (International),
or anyone else.
It's also important to realise that I'm not in on the Swedish Conspiracy.
Occasionally people ask for formal photos for conferences
or fun.
