Up many times in the night with babes crying, coughing, toilet breaks - wow: hopefully it is a conspiriacy to isolate all the sleep deprivation for the week into one night.
Worked on misc. admin, reviewed papers, Clarity. Dug with Sankar into some NCP file corruption issue with OO.o, eventually chased it into the kernel: nice. Dunged out my gnome.org homedir a little.

The OO.o zip writing code (at least in 3.1) is really fairly amazing. It insists on doing umpteen syscalls, often of only two bytes, as strace shows:

Not the most efficient way to start writing a zip header, particularly to a remote, network file-system (implemented with a user-space daemon, etc. etc.). Hopefully it's fixed in 3.2.

Visited a GNOME Advisory Board meeting, to shove an oar or two in; good to hear from that lot over there. Really encouraged, and interested to read Bradley's recent blog on open core - the issue of the day it seems.
