Lunch, partner call, sync with Laser, Sales call, out to see a Physio - back pain & Tennis elbow.
Plugged away at more overdue tasks from the backlog - quite some desk clearing action.

2026-08-12 Wednesday

Up early, helped electrician get a Powerwall 3 installed - nice; amused to see us starting to run the house from electricity shipped from the USA(?) while it drained initially; hopefully charging cheaply at night, and draining all day gives savings, robustness, off-grid / UPS capability and more.
Marketing stand-up, partner / landlock call. Sync with Stelios, Thorsten & Mitch. Lunch.
Sync with Oliver & Thorsten, COOL TC meeting, catch up with Philippe, then Dave.
Worked late until a delicious dinner made by Barney - somehow with a fixed 9 hours work in the day, if you do 10 hours you really make progress; started to hand lots more tasks to others.

Anne left early for home.

Melisr kindly picked up some new CI hardware, plugged away at landlock improvements.

All Saints in the morning, lead worship with Laura - fun.
Home for Pizza; walked onto the racecourse with H. watched lots of Foundation and relaxed while J. sewed bunting.
Barney back after a week at home.

Up earlyish, watched Silo with H, into London by train. Worked on a new landlock containment implementation that should be good for COOL / K8s.
Had a fine lunch in St James Park made by M. wandered central London with her, admired the Thames a & chatted together in the sun.
Watched The Mousetrap matinee performance together - very good: the notionally year trip with Dad. Out to a nice steak house afterwards.
Chatted at the water-front; bid 'bye, train home.

Sync with Chris, Gokay, Tomaz; lunch, then Stephan, Dennis & Thorsten. Sync with Naomi, partner call, catch up with Dave.
Lots of interesting calls through the day.
Gave a talk at church, some good questions, out with J. for a pub dinner afterwards: nice.

J. picked up H. who was on a call, later dinner, picked up Zach from Red-lodge, band practice & returned him.

Plugged away at some PM / planning pieces. J. took Anne to meet up with Suzannah.
David over for dinner, good to catch up on a walk.

Mail chew, resource planning, sync with Miklos & Thorsten. Lunch. Hack-week catch-up. Patch review, and merging here and there.
Anne split her journey to stay with us, nice to see her.

J. off to Nicky's birthday party. Lead music with Laura, home - managed to make a white-sauce, cook some bacon and feed two daugthers and self without disaster.
Slept a little, prepared music for the evening service, lead that - great talk by Kingsley. Home, watched Severance with J&H.

2026-08-01 Saturday

Lazed somewhat, spent some time working through various tasks. Re-connected foam-gun to a PTFE pipe, and worked at sealing dot & dab gaps behind kitchen units. Cunningly managed to get foam everywhere and damage just varnished floor - thank goodness for a patient wife.
Out to Greer & Barabara's in the evening for a fine BBQ made by Sergey & Theresa, with a number of church family members - talked until late.

More Kitchen floor varnishing setup, catch up with Simon. Avoided doing lots of tasks, and in doing so did lots of others: Structured Procrastination.
Poked at and fixed an annoyance around mis-caching cool.html in some cases, and poked at other pending patches.
Sync with Lily. Planning bits.

Plugged away at some hacking, and planning, encouraging sales call. Dug into removing more legacy avmedia code.
